Flora oils are truly cold-pressed, unrefined and unmodified. Most seeds used in our oil pressing are grown organically by Canadian and USA Farmers and are selected for their high quality and abundance of essential fatty acids. The quality of our oils is ensured by a third party certifying agency, quality assurance international "QAI". Unlike other commercially produced oils, Flora oils are pressed in a light- and oxygen-free environment on highly sophisticated presses, where friction heat is kept well below 118f or 50 degrees celsius to produce a truly cold-pressed oil that preserves the fragile EFA's. They are then bottled in non-reactive dark brown glass bottles to prevent deterioration from light and are stamped for freshness. The shape of the TC MYTHOS Cup, as with all TC glassware, was designed using the “natural law according to the golden mean”. This mathematical model – found almost universally in nature – is often referred to as “Sacred Geometry”, because it is the geometry of life. The water held within (also suitable for juice) is strengthened in its biological value and takes on a more floral note in its flavour.
The primary geometry of the 3-membered shape of the MYTHOS cup also contains the “square of the circle”, and represents a harmony between the contrasts of female (moon) and male (sun). The TC MYTHOS cup is intentionally robust by design for everyday use and is therefore a suitable choice for children and for use in catering and restaurants. The gentle shape makes the glass easy to hold when filled with greater volumes. This is particularly helpful for young children and the elderly. Its form has also been chosen to ensure that the TC MYTHOS cup can never fall over.
